The film 'Ex-DOMINATRIX A True Story' is about a mistress who looked death in the face.
Not her dance with death, but that of her friend and client. Goddess Ira was not just any dominatrix but the best in Europe (in my opinion).
I was not a pro domme at the time but this is one of my prime concerns, which is why I did a First Aid course in August 2017.
When this accident happened I was a close friend of Ira's, visiting her home and chambers in Antwerp, Belgium three times. I loved her beautiful, huge home, gardens and the chambers were AMAZING. Shocking at the end to see how the property ended it's days.
My friend Darren Cavanagh conceived the film Ex-DOMINATRIX A True Story, partly filmed it, edited, directed and produced this over the last five years. Darren became a close friend of Ira’s and they have collaborated on various photographic projects. Darren wanted to make a truthful and entertaining documentary about her outrageous adventures as a domme. She had an eventful life to say the least.

This film tells the true-life story of Ira, a woman of many talents; artist, model, international performer, mother and yoga instructor.

During the film Ira reveals what truly happened on that terrible day, and how this event would change her life forever, end her days as a dominatrix, but lead to a transform. They have been incredibly sensitive to the family of the deceased, not using his name or highlighting his misdemeanours.
A spiritual path was in her destiny. She could never have imagined where that would take her...an unexpected journey throughout Europe, Mexico to Goa in India, where she now resides. Her ability to reinvent herself has not surprised me. I personally think she would rise to the top of any profession she put her mind too. I have a bit of a girly crush on Ira and think she is the most amazing woman I have ever met - truly! What I love most about Ira is her passion, intensity, concentration, intelligence, sense of fun (in a very dry way) and her caring, loving nature.
In Ex-DOMINATRIX A True Story be prepared to be shocked and surprised by Ira’s many BDSM stories, her infectious humour, many domination adventures and intimate story of her life.
For me it's a cautionary tale, a love story (including mine with her) and the power of an incredible mind. I'm not being over dramatic. You have to know her. I feel privileged.
